The Marvel theme, especially the Guardians of the Galaxy, has skyrocketed in popularity, charming fans with its quirky characters and adventurous spirit. LEGO has tapped into this excitement with some fantastic LEGO Marvel sets. The Rocket & Baby Groot Marvel LEGO set lets fans enjoy the dynamic duo's escapades, while LEGO The Guardians Ship offers a detailed and immersive building experience. Baby Rocket's Ship adds a delightful twist, focusing on the lovable raccoon's mini adventures. But let's talk about the Milano – the iconic starship from the films that has seen everything from epic space battles to impromptu dance-offs. We are eagerly awaiting the new Milano LEGO set, which promises a meticulously detailed interior and all the swagger of its cinematic counterpart. Plus, who wouldn't want to jam out with a host of Marvel Minifigures? Due to be released on August 1st, but available for pre-order now at the LEGO store now, get ready to blast off into fun – just don't forget to bring your Awesome Mix tape!

Set Details

The LEGO Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy: The Milano set is a stunning set with 2090 pieces, capturing the essence of the iconic starship from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie. This impressive model features six adjustable wings and four movable rear boosters, ensuring dynamic display options. The top of the spaceship lifts off to reveal a great interior, divided into three distinct areas: a flight deck that seats three minifigures, a communal area with an extra seat and storage for weapons, and a rest area complete with a bed and a tape deck. We love this detail as one of our favourite elements of the films is enjoying the classic tunes and this is definitely a nod to that! The set includes minifigures of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and a lovable Baby Groot figure. Additionally, a stand is provided to showcase this magnificent spaceship in all its glory.

Conclusion

LEGO 76286 is splitting opinions here at Investabrick a little! The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes theme is a solid one and the LEGO Guardians of the Galaxy sub-theme outperforms the overall theme. We will be keen to see how popular this set really is when it is launched but it definitely one for the watchlist for the future.

For now however, it looks like an amazing build with lots of little details and can be pre-ordered at LEGO for August delivery now!If you are looking for a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes investment set for this year we would be tempted to look at the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers Quinjet (76248) which is expected to retire at the end of 2024 and should be available at a discount on Amazon. Keep an eye out for the Amazon Prime LEGO sale on July 16th and 17th where you should be able buy this and some other great LEGO investment sets at some substantial discounts.
