BrickLink Designer Program | Are you ready to pre order your favourite LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Sets?

Published: 10 months ago

Last Updated: 8 months ago

The LEGO BrickLink Designer Program is an innovative platform that empowers LEGO enthusiasts to transform their creative designs into official LEGO sets. Launched by the collaborative efforts of the LEGO Group and BrickLink, this program provides a unique opportunity for fan designers to share their original concepts with a global audience. Through a crowdfunding model, fans can support their favourite projects, and once a project reaches its funding goal, it enters the official LEGO review process. Successful designs are then produced as limited-edition sets, complete with exclusive packaging and a designer's signature. The BrickLink Designer Program not only celebrates fan creativity but also fosters a dynamic community where individuals can contribute to the diverse world of LEGO sets.

Pre ordering for the latest round of sets begins on February 7th for the initial batch of five sets from the BrickLink Designer Program which was unveiled in March of the previous year. The sets include:

Mountain Fortress | US$379.99 / €339.99 / AU$529.99

The second floor includes a luxury living room, a small kitchen with a dining area, and a billiard hall. The third floor offers a two-room apartment with a bathroom, an atelier, and a small bedroom/apartment. The fourth floor features a small apartment with a rooftop terrace, capturing the essence of a charming Parisian atmosphere.

The Old Train Engine Shed is constructed with masonry bricks, featuring six large windows and two doors for locomotive access. The design incorporates two chimneys and a fan for ventilation. The interior is equipped with a fully stocked workshop, including machinery such as an old lathe, a vice, a bench drill press, an oxyacetylene welder, and various hardware tools like mallets and hammers.

This 539-piece construction showcases a meticulously crafted snack bar, complete with a detailed interior featuring a deep fryer, milkshake machine, press grill, condiment station, and fridge. The back conveniently hinges open for seamless access. Inspired by a food truck encountered during a visit to Key West, Florida, this design mimics the charm of a classic travel trailer. An ideal enhancement for any LEGO city, the trailer can be effortlessly detached from its base, allowing you to position it wherever suits your creative vision.

General Store – Wild West | US$159.99 / €139.99 / AU$219.99.

The store is a single-story structure with a captivating colour scheme featuring sand blue and white accents. Horizontal boarding forms the walls, and a sizable roof above the entrance provides shade. A smaller roof covers vegetable and fruit boxes on the side. The porch includes a rocking chair, a favoured spot for the owner. Inside, shelves display mining equipment, canned food, and various liquors. A counter holds freshly baked muffins under a cloche, and a classic cash register stands out. The building is equipped with a stove for colder months. The flat roof stores straw for animals, barrels of liquor, and gunpowder.

Sets garnering at least 3,000 orders will proceed to official production. BrickLink has increased the production quantity to 30,000 for each set (originally communicated as 20,000), a positive development. Limited to two sets per household, this single production run in July 2024 will be the only opportunity to acquire these sets. At Investabrick, February 7th can’t come soon enough, as we have everything crossed that our favourites go into production, as these sets are destined to be great investments for the future!
