The LEGO Icons series stands out as a line dedicated to complex, detailed, and often nostalgia-driven sets. These sets cater primarily to adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs), offering intricate builds that celebrate history, pop culture, and architectural masterpieces. LEGO Icons, previously known as Creator Expert, evolved into its own dedicated theme to highlight premium sets that appeal to experienced builders. The series encompasses a variety of subjects, including modular buildings, historical landmarks, vehicles, and retro-inspired sets. Originally, many of the sets under the Creator Expert branding focused on modular buildings and vehicles. However, as LEGO expanded its range, the Icons LEGO theme began to incorporate a more diverse selection, including movie-themed sets, botanical collections, and nostalgic recreations of classic LEGO sets. LEGO® continues to expand its Icons lineup with exciting new additions. This year alone, several sets have already been released, bringing fresh and diverse models to the theme.
Some of the LEGO Icons sets launched in 2025 so far include:
-
LEGO Tudor Corner (10350) – A beautiful medieval-inspired modular building that adds a historical flair to any LEGO city.
-
LEGO Blacktron Renegade (10355) – A nostalgic throwback to the beloved Blacktron space theme, redesigned with modern building techniques.
-
LEGO Fountain Garden (10359) – A charming set that enhances urban LEGO displays with a peaceful, decorative fountain.
-
LEGO Leonardo da Vinci’s Flying Machine (10363) – A tribute to one of history’s greatest inventors, featuring an articulated model of da Vinci’s legendary flying contraption.
Looking ahead, fans of new LEGO sets can mark their calendars for March 1st, 2025, as two new LEGO Icons sets are set to be released, further expanding this ever-growing and highly popular theme.
With its ongoing commitment to creativity, nostalgia, and intricate designs, LEGO Icons remains one of the most exciting themes in the LEGO universe and one with some of the best LEGO investments. Whether it’s historical landmarks, classic movie vehicles, or innovative new ideas, LEGO Icons continues to captivate builders of all ages. We take a closer look at the two sets due to be released this March below:
