Back to Hogwarts 2025 GWPs
As with previous campaigns, LEGO has lined up a trio of Harry Potter GWPs to sweeten purchases:
- Hogwarts Castle: Room of Requirement (40770) – Spend £115 / €130 on Harry Potter sets between 1st–7th September to claim this magical add-on build.
Bring the Room of Requirement to life as Neville Longbottom’s hidden refuge inside Hogwarts™ Castle with the LEGO® Harry Potter™ set (40770). This 202-piece gift-with-purchase build is designed for fans aged 8+, featuring fun details like hammocks and a portrait of Harry and his friends. The model folds neatly to connect with other modular Hogwarts sets (sold separately), allowing you to expand and create one of the most detailed LEGO Hogwarts Castle displays to date.
- Quidditch Lesson (30706) – Available with Harry Potter spends of £35 / €40 during the same window.
Recreate the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ scene where Harry Potter™ learns about Quidditch™ rules and equipment with this playful building set for kids.
- Hogsmeade Sign (5009867) – A LEGO Insiders exclusive GWP for those purchasing the new Hogsmeade Village Collectors’ Edition (76457).
Bring a little wizarding charm into any LEGO® Harry Potter™ collection with the Hogsmeade™ Sign display piece. Perfect for fans aged 4+, this collectible metal ornament showcases a brick-built style Hogsmeade skyline along with miniature signs for Honeydukes™, The Three Broomsticks™, and The Hog’s Head™. The signs are suspended from a gold-toned arch decorated with LEGO brick patterns and set on a base engraved with the LEGO Harry Potter logo.
These are the sets that would be top of our list to get our hands on a GWP:
LEGO 76440 – Triwizard Tournament: The Arrival
Relive the magic of the Triwizard Tournament with this detailed set that brings two unforgettable entrances from The Goblet of Fire to life. Build the Durmstrang ship and the Beauxbatons carriage, complete with a winged Abraxan horse, then set the stage with five key characters including Viktor Krum and Fleur Delacour. Packed with accessories like the Goblet of Fire and Triwizard Cup, it’s a brilliant way to expand your Hogwarts display or act out one of the series’ most iconic storylines.
LEGO 76423 – Hogwarts Express & Hogsmeade Station
All aboard for Hogsmeade! This version of the Hogwarts Express features the classic steam engine, a coal tender, and two passenger carriages, with plenty of room for minifigures and story play. The Hogsmeade Station build adds atmosphere with a ticket office, Owl Post, and even a small restroom. Eight minifigures—from Harry, Ron, and Hermione to the Trolley Witch—ensure fans can recreate their favourite train scenes on the journey to Hogwarts.
LEGO 76391 – Hogwarts Icons: Collectors’ Edition
Designed for display rather than play, this collector’s set is a showcase of instantly recognisable wizarding world artefacts. Hedwig takes centre stage, carrying Harry’s acceptance letter, while around her you’ll assemble items like Tom Riddle’s diary, the Golden Snitch, potion bottles, a wand, and Harry’s glasses. With more than 3,000 pieces and three golden anniversary minifigures included, this is a centrepiece build for serious Harry Potter fans.
LEGO 76431 – Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class
Step inside the dungeons of Hogwarts and join Professor Snape for a potions lesson. This compact build captures the look of the classroom with shelves of ingredients, a bubbling cauldron, and a chalkboard for notes. It comes with multiple minifigures—Snape, Hermione, and more—plus a collectible portrait tile from a set of 14, making it a fun add-on for anyone growing their Hogwarts Castle collection.
LEGO 75978 – Diagon Alley
One of the largest LEGO Harry Potter sets ever produced, Diagon Alley offers a brick-built version of London’s magical shopping street. The modular design spans more than a metre and includes detailed storefronts like Ollivanders, Flourish & Blotts, Florean Fortescue’s ice cream parlour, and the vibrant Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes. With 14 minifigures—several exclusive to the set—it’s both an impressive display model and a richly detailed play scene that rewards time spent exploring every shop.
Investment Take: Which Rewards Are Worth Grabbing?
From an investment perspective, Harry Potter GWPs have consistently performed well on the aftermarket, particularly those tied to exclusive releases. The Hogsmeade Sign (5009867) is likely to be the standout — tied to a premium D2C set, released in limited numbers, and only available to Insiders. Expect secondary market demand once the campaign closes.
The Room of Requirement (40770) is another solid option. Mid-size GWPs tied to popular themes usually hold value well, especially if they complement existing builds. Meanwhile, the Quidditch Lesson (30706) may appeal more as a fun extra for fans rather than a big investment driver, though it will still sell steadily once retired.
Finally, the Hogsmeade Village Collectors’ Edition (76457) looks like a long-term winner. Large LEGO® Harry Potter™ display sets with strong minifigure lineups and exclusive buildings have historically appreciated significantly after retirement. Combine this with 2x Insider points and multiple GWP stacking, and September’s promotion is about as strong a buying window as investors could hope for.
And finally…
LEGO’s Back to Hogwarts 2025 campaign is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, blending brand-new exclusives with highly desirable GWPs and the always-popular double Insider points. Whether you’re a dedicated Harry Potter collector, a seasoned LEGO investor, or simply a fan who loves the magic of the wizarding world, this week offers plenty of reasons to shop. With standout sets like the Hogsmeade Village Collectors’ Edition and classics such as Diagon Alley still available, there’s no shortage of opportunities to build, display, and invest. One thing’s for certain—this year’s Back to Hogwarts event will leave fans spellbound once again.
