The LEGO® Magma Mech 8189 is a formidable addition to the Power Miners theme, released in December 2009. With 183 pieces, this set features the Magma Mech facing off against the Firax lava monster in an underground battle. The Magma Mech comes with an extending titanium scissor claw arm and a super-cooled, spinning water jet to put out the flames of the rampaging lava monster. The set includes 2 minifigs: a Power Miner and an Engineer with Armor and Helmet, as well as the Firax lava monster, also known as Firax, Trans Orange. In the LEGO 8189 set, fans of the Power Miners theme can immerse themselves in the underground action as the Magma Mech takes on the fiery challenges of the Earth's depths. The set allows builders to extend the Magma Mech's scissor claw to grab Firax, quench the red-hot lava monster with the spinning water jet, and open the heat-shielded cockpit for the ultimate battle experience. The Magma Mech measures over 7" (17cm) tall, making it an impressive addition to any LEGO collection.
