Excitement is building among LEGO and Lord of the Rings fans, as fresh rumours suggest a new Middle-earth-inspired set will join the LEGO Icons line-up in 2025. According to Falconbricks, the set, reportedly titled 10354 Bag End, is slated for release in April 2025. The release month places LEGO Icons Bag End squarely between those of two other notable LEGO LOTR sets: 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell in February and 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-Dûr in June.
What to Expect from 10354 Bag End
Details surrounding this potential set remain scarce, with no confirmed price or piece count as of yet. However, the mention of Bag End as the focal point opens the door to several possibilities. Fans might receive a model reminiscent of 2012's 79003 LEGO The Hobbit, An Unexpected Gathering. Alternatively, LEGO could deliver a more ambitious vision of the Shire, incorporating not just Bag End but also iconic elements like the setting for Bilbo’s birthday party, the neighbouring Hobbit holes, or even the stone bridge with Gandalf's cart featured in the opening scene of The Fellowship of the Ring. Considering the high price points of 10316 Rivendell and 10333 Barad-Dûr, the latter does seem like a plausible direction.
Another LEGO Lord of the Rings Set in 2025?
Intriguingly, rumours also hint at the possibility of a second LEGO Icons Lord of the Rings set launching later in 2025. While LEGO has introduced several Middle-earth-themed products in recent years, including LEGO BrickHeadz and gift-with-purchase items, this would mark the first time two full-sized LEGO Icons sets are released in the same calendar year.
The nature of this second set remains unknown, but the potential concepts are endless. It could range from another minifigure-scale location to a buildable Middle-earth map or an iconic object from the saga. For now, speculation will undoubtedly continue to swirl as fans eagerly await confirmation from LEGO.
