LEGO BrickHeadz, first appeared in 2016 and have become an incredibly popular line of buildable figures, with nearly 200 sets released to date. Unlike traditional LEGO sets, BrickHeadz are designed to be primarily display pieces rather than play sets. Despite their size, BrickHeadz are incredibly detailed and accurate representations of their subject matter, whether it be a beloved superhero or a character from a popular movie. From Star Wars to The Avengers, there's a BrickHeadz for just about any genre or franchise you can think of, including the wizarding world of Harry Potter! First released in 2018 with Harry Potter, Hedwig, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Albus Dumbledore characters, the series has grown to also include the Professors and now more characters have been announced.

Theme Analysis

There have been some amazing BrickHeadz sets since they were first launched in 2016 with nearly 200 sets having now been made.

The best performing sets were the 7 different sets that were released for Comic-Con in 2016, these sets costs just over £30 and are now valued between £300 and anywhere up to £1,000 just 7 years later!

As well as these new Harry Potter ones, there are over 40 other sets currently available at retail sale. Some of the newest ones include LEGO Disney 100th Celebration (40622) which contains Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey Mouse, Snow White and Tinker Bell, Gandalf the Grey and Balrog (40631) from LEGO The Lord of the Rings and Battle of Endor Heroes (40623) from LEGO Star Wars.

Comparable Set Analysis

There were 4 original Wizarding World BrickHeadz released in 2018 and all were retired by early 2019. Over the past 4 years, these sets have all performed phenomenally as investments, with them all having more than doubled in value and 3 of the 4 more than trebling in value.

All 4 sets have delivered annualised growth returns of greater than 20% and an average of very close to 30% per year! The pick of these sets are Harry Potter & Hedwig (41615) which has more than trebled from its RRP of £15 to its current value of £53 producing annualised growth off 33% and Hermione Granger (41616) which has also trebled in value from £10 to £32 with annualised growth of 30%.

Conclusion

If these new Harry Potter BrickHeadz do half as well as the original 4 sets did then they will be excellent investments. Add some to your collection when they are launched next month!
