As we’ve previously said, we find looking at the Icons theme in total a little misleading due to the breadth and variety of sets that are included, so have delved straight into the modular buildings sub-theme (in which we also include the sets that were within advanced models prior to the Icons based sub-theme).
The 13 retired sets between them would have cost just over £1,500 and now be valued at just over £9,500, £8,000 clear profit at annualised growth of 25%.
A couple of more recently retired sets included LEGO Icons Corner Garage (10264) which is close to doubling in value in just over 2 ½ years since retirement and LEGO Icons Downtown Diner (10260) which has more than doubled in value in just over 3 ½ years since retirement, both producing annualised returns in excess of 30%.
