LEGO Lloyds Golden Ultra Dragon is a set not too far away from retirement, so we felt it was time to look at a little closer at sets within this theme at a similar price point to reconfirm our auto invest on NINJAGO sets.

The “Crystallized” subtheme still has sets at retail, we wanted to relook at some retired sets in the general theme to kick things of when looking at investment potential. We analysed LEGO Temple of Airjitzu, LEGO Final Flight of Destiny’s Bounty, LEGO Rebooted Battle for NINJAGO City and LEGO Day of the Departed Ultra Stealth Raider. These sets had an average annualised growth of 16%.

Comparable Set Analysis
When we look closer at comparable sets we found as always lots of encouraging data. We love to see quick returns and strong retirement pops and we often see this in the LEGO NINJAGO theme, we looked at LEGO hunted dragon pit. LEGO Secrets of the Forbidden Sinjitzu Land Bounty, LEGO Castle of the Forsaken Emperor and LEGO Legacy the Ultra Dragon. These sets had an average annualised growth of 16% also.
